Active Traction Service ATS clutches are made in Japan. For those who have increased the power and torque over the factory output. These are specifically made for the Toyota GR Yaris and Corolla G16E-GTS which comes with a billet 1 piece flywheel which eliminates the factory dual mass flywheel which will cause issues later on.
This metal type twin plate clutch has been designed for street and competition use. By using a 230mm (9″) ultra large disk, which is the largest in class, they have dramatically improved the torque capacity of their metal clutch series. At the same time, ATS have managed to achieve a significant weight savings through the use of high quality components and manufacturing processing technology.
Approximately 5kg lighter than the factory clutch and flywheel.

Is it hard to drive?
Answer: Surprisingly most will think the addition of extra clutch plates will make the car unstreetable and difficult to drive. This is not the case with the recent development and newer technology applied. The ATS twin plate clutch is as easy to drive as the factory unit. Soft pedal feel and very easy to modulate the clutch.
Does it rattle or vibrate?
Answer: Being a multiplate clutch when the clutch is disengaged it will have a slight rattle, ATS has designed this to eliminate as much of this as possible. In regards to the vibration, the G16E-GTS is a 3 cylinder engine with poor engine harmonics. The factory clutch and dual mass flywheel emit a small amount of vibration at low rpm and so does this. Not very noticeable.
