Description
The MCA Pro Stance suspension range is designed for extremely low ride heights. With a unique internal valving design, the Pro Stance suspension is designed to run super stiff springs, and even sit on the bump stops at ride height without excessive bounce. Weve tested our kits right down to only 10mm of compression travel.
With that said, at more practical ride heights, the ride quality and handling characteristics that this product features are actually quite remarkable and took us by surprise. This is mostly thanks to our latest Fusion 3.0 Valving, which has assisted us in producing a much more well-rounded setup than expected. This product is a great choice for customers wanting a low street car look, right through to those wanting a slammed show car.
Features:
STANCE SPEC VALVING
This product features unique valving, developed by MCA Suspension to help increase control and stability during high speed transitions whilst also providing enough versatility to help dial in your desired level or rear traction.
ELIMINATE TYPE SCRUB
MCA Suspension gives you the power to take control of your wheel travel range. Say goodbye to any change of wheel/tyre contact with body work, suspension arms hitting the chassis, etc, no matter how soft or how low the ride height is and no matter how big of a bump you hit.
This is controlled by correctly setting the operating lengths of the shock absorbers, which is adjusted by the bottom mount position (not used for ride height adjustment like most other brands suggest). MCA Suspension products come with the bottom mount positions preset to measurements determined by our own in-house testing, measurements and development.
This does remain adjustable though, so even if your vehicle is heavily modified in these ares the wheel travel range can still be adjusted to suit your vehicle perfectly.
RUGGED SPEC
Taking Bamber Spec to the next level, Rugged Spec literally doubles down by overhauling the major sealing component designs to build in sealing redundancy. Essentially this means all of the sealing points inside the dampers now have a backup. This is a relatively new design concept but we’re confident it will take the reliability and durability of MCA Suspension products to a whole new level.
DAMPER ADJUSTMENT
Our dampers come with 12 clicks of damper adjustment between hard and soft settings. Each click is quite powerful and very noticeable. The way the damper adjuster works, is it controls the flow of an amount of oil that bypasses the valving system. Closing (setting harder) the adjuster restricts oil flow making the damper firmer and more controlled, while opening (setting softer) the adjuster allows the oil to flow easier which makes the damper softer and less controlled.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Our dampers come with height adjustment which controls the ride height of the vehicle. Contrary to most other products around this price point, MCA Suspension products use “Critical Length Technology rather than “base height adjustment” meaning that instead of using the bottom mount position to adjust the ride height, the spring seat position is adjusted instead. This is the same system as used on true, high end suspension products. MCA Suspension always builds as much height adjustment into our products as realistically possible, however the exact amount my vary vehicle to vehicle and product to product for a number of reasons.
3 YEAR WARRANTY
MCA Suspension offers one of the best (if not the best) 2 year warranty around for suspension components. This warranty covers bushes, bearings, rubbers and seals. However we often cover more (this is decided on a case by case basis) as we strive to make sure that the experience our customers have when using our products is the best possible. One of the main areas we differ to our competitors is that we also go out of our way to help make sure that any warranty claims are handled in a speedy and extremely convenient manner.
ASSEMBLED & DESIGNED IN AUSTRALIA
All of our products are assembled in Australia by our highly trained team. All of our suspension setups have been designed in Australia by MCA Suspension. Unlike many of our competitors, no copied setups here. Even the large majority of individual components used in MCA Suspension products (including mounts, springs, internal sealing components, spring seats, shafts, etc) have been designed by MCA Suspension.
MONOTUBE DESIGN
Generally speaking, regarding vehicle suspension, there are two types of dampers in the way that they operate internally. Monotube and Twin-Tube. Twin-Tubes often are cheaper alternatives and don’t have the same potential as Monotubes (for example, most factory dampers and cheaper factory replacement dampers are twin-tubes). MCA Suspension only uses Monotube Suspension, as does all true high-end suspension brands. The monotube design offers better cooling for the internal oil and stops oil and gas mixing, both of which make the supension damper more consistent and longer lasting.
FUSION VALVING V3
Carrying on from the 2nd version of Fusion Valving, V3 offers increased comfort and a smoother ride with no reduction of outright performance potential. On top of this, damper adjustment range has also been refined to provide a much wider usable range of adjustment.
DYNO TUNED
Your suspension will be dyno tuned on our shock dyno prior to being sent to you. Dyno tuning guarantees consistency between each shock as well as confirming the valve pack will behave in accordance to your needs or requirements.
Features Where Applicable:
CAMBER ADJUSTMENT
Where-ever possible, MCA Suspension always features camber adjustment. Camber leans the top of your tyre in and out. Generally speaking, for road use, the straighter your tyre is (vertically) the more even the tyre wear might be, but the performance will lack. Leaning the tyre in at the top for more negative camber might help with tyre and fender clearance, and will also help improve the steering feel and vehicle performance, but may hurt tyre wear. For assistance as to what wheel alignment settings to run, please visit the technical section on this website. Please note: how the camber adjustment is achieved if it’s at the front, rear or both ends of the car will vary.
HELPER SPRINGS
In the large majority of cases MCA Suspension products feature Helper Springs. A “helper spring” is a light weight spring who’s job is to keep the main spring captive if a specific setup and ride height combination mean that when the vehicle is jacked up with wheels off the ground, the spring may be loose. Thanks to the Helper Spring, the main spring will be held up and seated even in these rare situations.
RUBBER TOP MOUNTS
In most cases, except for MacPherson Struts, we will use our own design of rubber tops. These rubber top mounts offer the needed amount of flexibility while also offering stability and minimised extra movement. They are even used in our 1100rwhp, Red Series equipped Time Attack 86.
SEPARATED SYSTEM
In some cases the factory design of spring and damper setup is to have them sitting separate from eachother. In these cases we will often keep using that basic layout and factory mountings.
COILOVER DESIGN
The true meaning of the word “coilover” is when a damper has a spring mounted around the outside of it. This is a common design of suspension for vehicles. In some cases we will be able to convert Separate Designs to a Coilover Design also.
NON-INVERTED STRUT
When a strut type of suspension setup is used by the factory, there is the option to replace it with an “inverted” type or “non-inverted” type. MCA Suspension has used both designs over the years, but for products like Red Series and below, we use our non-inverted design in the large majority of cases, even for motorsport applications. Even our 1100rwhp, downforce loaded Time Attack 86 has run them for years. For more information on these, please visit our technical section.
ADJUSTER EXTENDERS
Adjuster Extenders help gain access to the damper adjuster knobs in situations where the adjuster knob is hidden behind metal, trim or is simply difficult to reach. These are a rubber coated flexible steel cable with machined anodised aluminium ends which attach to either the existing adjuster knob, or screw directly onto the top of the damper’s shaft depending on the design.
CAMBER WASHERS
Camber Washers originated on our Gold Series products, and are offered as an optional extra for some of our entry level products and come as default on our higher end products. However they are only for cars that feature Macpherson struts. They are used on the bottom mounts and offer superior control, reliability and adjustability. For more information please see our technical section.
