Description
A common error that many people make when upgrading their intercooler is not installing a properly sized splitter. The benefit of a larger intercooler is that the large surface area can rapidly disperse heat. However when a small or stock splitter is in place, the intercooler’s effective surface area is drastically reduced.
Another mistake is to completely eliminate the splitter. By doing this you allow the air to escape around the intercooler instead of going through the core. The lack of air flowing through the core will cause the intercooler to heat up, making the intake charge even warmer and reducing power.
The solution is the large Process West intercooler splitter, which forms a complete seal around the intercooler, forcing cooling air through the core, lowering charge temps and increasing power.
This splitter is designed specifically for the Process West Top Mount Intercooler. This unit may work with other brands of intercoolers, but we are not able to confirm fitment!
